Delhi Fog Flight Delays: Over 400 Flights Impacted At IGI Airport As Visibility Drops

Severe weather conditions caused massive Delhi fog flight delays at Indira Gandhi International Airport on Friday, with more than 400 flights impacted. The challenging Delhi airport weather conditions continued into Saturday, forcing airlines to adjust their schedules.

Due to dense fog and poor visibility, multiple flight cancellations Delhi fog were reported. Airport authorities asked passengers to check with their airlines for updated flight schedules. The airport operator DIAL apologized for the inconvenience through a message on X (formerly Twitter).

“Due to dense fog, flight operations are impacted at Delhi Airport. Passengers are requested to contact the airline concerned for updated flight operation. Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted”.

Major Carriers Respond To Delhi Flight Delays

Major airlines IndiGo and Air India warned passengers about flight delays in Delhi. IndiGo stopped all takeoffs and landings due to poor visibility. Air India said fog was disrupting flights in Delhi and other parts of north India. This follows Friday’s chaos when over 400 flights were delayed at Delhi Airport.
