Green Park is a fancy, well-off area in the south of Delhi that’s got everything you’d expect from a rich city vibe, including big places to live and work. It’s pretty unexpected to find medieval ruins there, but Delhi always has some cool surprises up its sleeve, and here you get to witness an ancient site of Barakhamba Tomb, one of the most historical places in India.

The history of the Barakhamba Tomb Delhi dates back to the 14th century, sitting at the eastern end of Lodi Road near the Sabz Burj. It is under the supervision of the Archaeological Survey of India and is right in the middle of the Nizamuddin heritage area, right by the entrance to the Nizamuddin Dargah.

Barakhamba, also known as the Barakhamba Monument, is an ancient burial site from the Lodi era. The name Barakhamba means twelve pillars in Hindi and Urdu.

A modern metro road, right in the middle of the city in Connaught Place is also named after this monument.
