During British rule, a guy named Frederick William Stevens, who was British and a famous architect in those days is the one who was responsible for designing the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus which was formerly known as Victoria Terminus (VT).
The construction of the building of this famous station started in the year 1878, and the completion of this iconic monument took around 10 years, which means the construction of Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai was completed in the year 1888.
Once, after the completion of the Terminus, it was named in honour of the great Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee, which was a great tribute and a big celebration that took place for her in India.
