1 . Three Kings church

A long time ago, three kings ruled this region. Because there were three rulers in one place, there were continuous fights among the 3 of them over how the area must be governed.

Once one of the Kings, Holger Alvunger thought enough and came up with an idea to stop these regular fights. He invited the other two Kings to this Church where they had assembled for Afternoon Supper. Holger poisoned the meals resulting in the demise of the other two kings. 

Soon after, a crowd came to recognize that Holger had poisoned the meals in the Church to kill the rest of the two kings. People weren’t happy with what he did and began gathering around his place. Upon realizing that there’s no way out for him, so he also consumes poison and commits suicide.

After this, all 3 bodies had been buried near the Church. Because of the violent records that entail this area, people have claimed to feel the existence of spirits in this area. The feeling specifically intensifies after sundown. Even the Indian Paranormal Society concluded that spirits exist in this place. The national highway is stated to be the house of flesh-loving witches, who can haunt you if you carry meat (cooked or raw) while travelling through this highway. The most circulated incident tells that once a couple (unaware of the witch story) was driving through, and they had non-vegetarian food in their car. Suddenly, the headlight started flickering, so they stopped the car and got off. 

When they were looking to get in again, all of the doors got locked from the inside. A black smoke started to encircle them. After a certain time, the smoke cleared and the car got unlocked, and once they entered, they found all their food was gone. At the same time, the wife was left injured with scars on her face. Most people still believe in not carrying any non-veg items while crossing this place.

4 . D’Mello House

However, one day they got into a violent quarrel with each other which resulted in the death of one of the brothers inside the residence. From that day, there have been incidents in which visitors have observed paranormal activities inside the residence like hearing window panes crack, haunting footsteps and different weird noises from the house. The story of the two brothers and the haunted house has become a legend in the place. Some people believe that the ghosts of the brothers are still fighting, while others believe that they are finally at peace. 5 . Saligao Village

There is one story that says that after a Portuguese man had long gone missing he stated that he was taken by Cristalina and was later found with scratches and wounds. Since then, the village has been thought to be haunted and called as a haunted village in Goa, they believed it to be the breeding ground of this spirit.

6 . Seminary Arch

The arch in the front of the seminary haunted by the soldier is instructed by the locals as a place in which the spirit attire up formally and walks under the arch, guarding the village against unworthy site visitors.

7 . Ghost Hotel

It was initially referred to as Sina Hotel and it’s believed that the property owners had been killed after which the construction stopped leading to the horror activities inside the area. 8 . Rodrigues Home

9 . Igorchem Bandh

It is stated that if you walk in this street between 2 am and 3 am, there are probability that you may get possessed by a demonic spirit. The street is taken into consideration to be one of the most haunted places in Goa, where you can sense the darkness and will continually get terrified of the evil spirits who roam here at night time.

10 . Dona Paula Beach

Heartbroken and grief-stricken, Dona then committed suicide by throwing herself into the Arabian Sea from the cliff where her statue is positioned now. Her father then named the village after her.

Another story claims that Dona was the female-in-waiting to the then Governor General’s wife, and had an illicit affair with the governor. When the governor’s wife stuck them off the shield, she bound Dona and threw her from the cliff. The body, when discovered was only wearing a pearl necklace, which was supposedly a gift from the General.

There is yet another version of the legend where she had a secret admirer named Gasper Dias, a nobleman who commissioned a citadel in the Dona Pula Village. This is a haunted village in Goa, the spirit of Dona is still believed to rise from the sea in each moonlight, trying to find her fisherman lover. Presently the 2 statues standing at the cliff are of Dona Paula and the local fisherman.
