Siri Fort Delhi is believed to have been constructed in 1303, during the era of the Mughal ruler Alauddin Khilji.

This fort was an important part of the larger, strategically important city of Siri, which was one of the seven cities established by the Turks of the Delhi Sultanate.

Presently, only a handful of the fort’s remains are visible, but its grandeur and historical importance continue to attract large numbers of visitors.

At the time of its construction, Siri Fort boasted numerous palaces and other structures, including seven grand gates for entry and exit.

Today, Siri Fort lies dilapidated, with remnants of its walls, some citadels, and a southeastern gate remaining. Despite this, Siri Fort still echoes the splendor of its past, with remnants of palatial residences and intricate stone carvings that once decorated it.

The site has evolved into a local recreational area, and you can often find visitors exploring the Siri Fort ruins or children enjoying in the Siri Fort park.
