Soochipara Waterfalls is located in Vellarimala, and it’s about 35 km from Wayanad. If you’re wondering how to reach Soochipara Waterfalls there are two ways: 

Bus: 

  • Catch a bus from Wayanad or Meppadi. 
  • The bus will drop you off on the main road.
  • You need to go about 1 km more to reach the falls. 
  • You can either walk this part or take an auto-rickshaw. 

Taxi: 

  • Book a taxi from Wayanad to reach right to the falls. 
  • This is the easiest and convenient way to explore other nearby spots at your pace.

  • Nearest Bus Stand: Meppadi (13 km away)

1. Pazhassi Raja Tomb

Pazhassi Raja Tomb is a special place in Mananthavady, Wayanad, Kerala. It’s where Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja, a brave king who fought against the British, was buried. This king led a big fight called the Pazhassi Revolt in the 18th century. Many people visit this tomb to show respect and learn about the king’s brave fight for freedom. The tomb is in a quiet, pretty area with lots of green plants around it, showing off Kerala’s natural beauty.

2. Lakkidi View Point

Lakkidi View Point is a high spot at the top of a twisty mountain road in Wayanad, Kerala. It’s about 700 metres up in the air, making it one of the highest places in Wayanad. From here, you can see amazing views of curvy roads and green valleys. Lakkidi gets lots of rain, so it’s very green and often misty, which makes it look magical. People call it the “Gateway of Wayanad”.

3. Chembra Peak

Chembra Peak is the tallest mountain in Wayanad. It is high up, about 2,100 metres above the ground, near a town called Meppadi. It is part of a big group of mountains called the Western Ghats. People love Chembra Peak because of the amazing views you can see from it. On the way to the top, there’s a special lake shaped like a heart, called “Hridaya Saras”. This lake is always full of water. Many people who like adventure and nature enjoy hiking up Chembra Peak.
