The Capital city of Germany is a city that has stood the test of time and is a part of the 20th century that offers plenty of places to visit and innumerable things to do in Berlin to make your Trip to Europe, one of a kind.

1. Berliner Unterwelten

blog-images
If you want to have some fun activities in Berlin, you can head to the Berliner Unterwelten, which is a half-blasted bunker that was used during World War II to smuggle people out of the country.

It’s a weird feeling to walk through a dark corridor with cables hanging out of the wall, and having to walk through rubble, it makes you realise how difficult the situation would have been in reality, making this tour one of the most fun activities in Berlin.

  • Location: Brunnenstraße 105
  • Price: Approximately 17,00 €

2. Liquidrom Spa

blog-images
You must have heard about several types of spas, but have you heard about the Liquidrom Spa? Well, if you haven’t, let us tell you about this futuristic German Spa that will allow you to float in a pool of saltwater while you can zone out to the underwater techno.

The exterior of the Liquidrom resembles that of a spa and looks like something straight from a science fiction movie. It is built in a way that looks like an abstract tent structure, and this site once used to be a massive train station circa during World War II.

The Liquidrom spa pool is surrounded by large arches, with a dimly lit pool, and comes to life with multi-coloured lights and some soothing music, making it among the best things to do in Berlin.

  • Location: Möckernstraße 10
  • Price: Thermal Bath 30,00 € approximately

3. Monsterkabinett

You can even head to the Monsterkabinett, which is a warehouse that features some of the strange arts, and revellers in costumes, who put up a show every Thursday and Friday. You might have trouble finding which piece is actually human and which is made of metal. So you can imagine how much fun you are going to have here.
  • Location: Rosenthaler Str. 39
  • Price: 10€ approximately

4. Pergamon Museum

Visiting the Pergamon Museum is among the fun activities in Berlin, for it is the most visited as well as the most controversial place in the town. Situated on Berlin’s Museum Island features original and reconstructed monumental buildings including the Pergamon Altar and Market Gate of Miletus. Both these have been transported from Turkey and ever since there has been controversy over the legitimate acquisition of this collection, making it among the fascinating things to do in Berlin.

Featuring a stunning mirror-clad room, the Hall of Mirrors features a dancing venue and was established in the year 1913 before World War I, which still captures the spirit of a long-lost era.

This part was badly damaged during the war, which can be witnessed in the bullet holes, proving that the city has stood the test of time and its fierce fighting history, making your visit to this place among the best things to do in Berlin.

  • Location: 24 Auguststraße
  • Timings: Guided Tours on Sundays at 2 p.m.

One of the popular activities in Berlin is heading towards the Berlin Wall and dig a little deeper into its history and what exactly happened when the war broke out, making it among the fun things to do in Berlin.

The story goes back to the year 1989 when the Berlin Wall fell, and the artists of the time wanted to turn it from a symbol of division and oppression into freedom and started painting on the wall, which they were not allowed to do during the time. This eventually led to the creation of East Side Gallery, which is a long stretch covering almost 105 murals created by artists from around the world.

In Ladakh, find the perfect blend of culture, adventure, and serenity. December last year I decided that my next trip would be Ladakh but didn’t know how to go about it. I knew I wanted to travel in a group, as I had prior experiences of traveling in a group but wanted an organiser I could trust. Ladakh isn’t like other destinations wherein you need some instructions due to the high altitudes.
