When you travel through different time zones, let’s suppose you are traveling from Paris on Tuesday evening and reach New York on Wednesday morning. Now your body and mind is in the Paris time zone, you may think it’s time for bed for the folks living in Paris. So basically, jet lag disturbs your biological clock, your sleep schedule and your bowel routine. It makes you a little annoyed because your body functions get disturbed. Some common symptoms of jet lag include mood swings, lack of appetite, difficulty in concentrating, headache, insomnia, fatigue and the list goes on.
However there are some cures and tricks that you can use to get rid of your jet lag or avoid having them in the first place.
The best way to avoid having jet lag is to take out time and sleep in your flight. Let me tell you how you can do that. While being in the air, you can check the time and sleep accordingly. So when you get enough sleep during the flight, you will not feel sleepy when you reach your destination. If you sleep after reaching and it’s still daytime, you will have trouble sleeping at night, so in order to avoid all that, try staying awake during the daytime and you are good to go. Earplugs, comfy pillows, blankets, and eye masks can help you fall asleep during your flight and just in case you are unable to, try not to sleep when you reach. Trust me, it’ll be very difficult but at the same time, it will be very helpful in fixing your sleep schedule and getting back on track.
