You should visit Red Valley at least once for sunset. Plan to come mid-week since there will be fewer crowds, at the weekends it can get very busy. Whenever you go, expect it to feel quite touristy. For a quieter experience find a spot to sit amongst the rugged red cliffs. However, you are unlikely to find a place totally on your own. Many tourists and locals arrive with camping chairs and a picnic and spread out throughout the landscape.
11. Lekes cafe
Located on the floor of Love Valley, LeKes Café has a more intimate setting amongst the fairy chimneys compared to Gorkundere Café Breakfast. It is also quieter, mainly because it is more difficult to get to. Our recommended way of getting to LeKes Café is hiking through Love Valley. A walk through this valley allows close-up views of the fairy chimneys as well as an opportunity to see White Valley. It is also possible to drive to the valley floor and from there it is a short walk to the café.

12. Hacli Kilise Cafe
Hiking is the only way to reach this café which is dug into a cliff below the Church of the Cross in Rose Valley. The café features a large shady terrace, perfect for fresh pomegranate juice after a hot walk. Afternoons are the best time to visit with cooler temperatures and the rocks glitter a dark shade of pink.
13. Seki Restaurant
Seki Restaurant, which is part of Argos Hotel, has charming views over Pigeon Valley and Tiraz Castle. The tables at the front of the terrace have stunning views but it can be difficult to maneuver the parasols to get some shade over your table. So come prepared, bring a sunhat and plenty of sunscreens, or visit during the cooler parts of the day.
14. Orthisar Evi Restaurant
While walking the small alleyways to climb up to Orthisar castle you will find a cave wine bar. There is also a restaurant but you don’t need to have a meal to be able to appreciate the decorated rooms dug into the rock. The wine bar offers wine tasting of locally produced wines or if you prefer you can buy a bottle of your choice.
Winemaking in the region goes back to the Bronze Age. Pots for wine have been found in ancient tombs and when visiting the region’s cave cities you can find evidence of winemaking 60 metres below ground.
15. Lavante Panorama Cafe
Heart-shaped seats and trees full of blue beads seem to be the theme at the best cafes in Cappadocia. We think it makes them look and feel touristy but the views are generally fabulous. For views of Orthisar Castle and the village below, Lavante Panorama Cafe is the place to go. In the morning the sun shines on the scenery in front of you, although the café itself is in the shade until mid-day.

The Terrace Cafe Urgup provides a heartwarming atmosphere with its delectable cuisine. The tas kebab is particularly yummy, and the addition of live saz music adds to the perfect evening. The always smiling musician enhances the experience further with their playing and singing. At the end of the meal, visitors are treated to popcorn, which excites children even more. Although it was too cold to sit outside on the beautiful terrace, it still offers a stunning view that is worth capturing in photographs.

The café is located across three floors, with the top floor facing Wish Hill. The atmosphere is pleasant and attracts a young crowd. Country music and rock are played, which creates a lively vibe.
