Ever had your breath literally stolen by a place? That's what we experienced when we first visited Gulmarg in July - Kashmir's most well-guarded beauty, that's too beautiful not to be shared! The scenery is just breathtaking, with rolling fields dotted with wildflowers of every colour that appear to go on and on into the clouds.
The weather? Ideal! It's not too warm in the day and cool enough at night for a light jacket. It's an ideal getaway from the hot and mad summer heat sweeping across the rest of India.
There are tons of things to do in Kashmir this time of year. Hop on a horse and explore the meadows (trust us, it's worth it even if you're scared of horses like we were). The Gondola ride will blow your mind – the views are insane! And if you're into golf, you can brag about playing at one of the highest courses in the world.
