Spiti Valley Excursion From Pune

Post breakfast, get in your ride that will take you to Kaza– the place that looks like it has come straight out of heaven. The drive would be an extravagant experience in itself, as you would be driving on some of the most beautiful roads and inimitable passes.

Rohtang Pass, the pass with snow walls on both sides will be the key highlight of this drive, followed by the mesmerising Kunzum Pass– the gateway to Lahaul Spiti.

Upon arrival in Kaza, the capital of Lahaul Spiti, check-in at your hotel and take some much-needed rest before dinner and overnight stay.

Start day 3 of your Lahaul Spiti escapade with a hearty breakfast.

Today is the day when you will get acquainted with the best landmarks of Lahaul Spiti. Initiate your Spiti sightseeing tour with a visit to the 1000 years old monastery- The Key Monastery. Get some useful insight into Buddhism at the monastery and click some pictures that you will cherish for a lifetime.

The next stop in your sightseeing tour will be the Kibber Village. The region is famous for its national park which is known to inhabit some of the rarest fauna. The next halt will be at Komik, the most famous attraction of Komik is Maitreya Buddha, who is believed to be the protector of locals in the village.

To end the sightseeing excursion on a high note, head to Langza Village to spot some prehistoric marine fossils. It is believed that Lahaul Spiti was a sea in the primaeval era, hence explaining the presence of fossils.

Post the excursion, retreat to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

After a good night’s sleep, wake up to a mouth-watering breakfast coupled with an even better sunrise.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and hop on your ride for a scenic drive to the world-famous Chandra Taal lake. The lake holds a significant place in Hindu mythology as it is said that this is the place where the Pandavas arrived to transport their eldest brother to Swarg or heaven.

Besides the significance, the lake is also known for its matchless beauty which is difficult to find anywhere else. After arriving at the lake, stroll around the lake and take in the enchanting beauty of the area and check in at your camps.

Later in the evening, have an amazing time in your camps with a bonfire before dinner and overnight stay under the star-spangled sky.

Wake up early to the mesmerising views of the Chandra Taal lake and post breakfast check out from the camps for a drive back to Manali.

Pass through some of the most famous landmarks during the drive back to Manali. During the drive back, check out some popular landmarks like the Rohtang Pass, Solang Valley, Nehru Kund, Rahala Falls and last but not least– Gulaba. If time permits, you might even halt at these spots to click pictures to take back home.

In the evening, arrive in Manali and check in at your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Today’s the day when you will be bidding adieu to the mountains. Check out from your hotel after breakfast and head out for a sightseeing session of Kullu. Check out the famous shawl factories and other landmarks of Kullu.

Post exploration, head to the airport for your flight back home, marking the end of your Lahaul Spiti escapade.
