The best time to go to Bias Tugel Beach in East Bali is during the dry season from April to October, to enjoy the beach activities (always watch out for the strong currents).

Wet Season - November to March

During the wet season, you can expect steamy weather and rainfall several times a day. However, though not perfect for beach activities, you can enjoy the best deals on accommodations and experience local festivals like Makepung Buffalo Races (Nov), Denpasar Festival (Dec), and unique Nyepi day of silence (Mar).

To visit Bias Tugel Beach in Padangbai Bali, below is the hierarchy of transportation modes:

By Flight:

  • The nearest and the best option is to fly into Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar.
  • Once landed, you need to travel to Padangbai first.
  • You can choose a ferry, towncar, bus, a private taxi, or an organised 7 Day Special Bali Tour Package to reach Padangbai.

Different Modes Of Transport With Prices:

  • Denpasar Airport to Padangbai by Bus: Starts from ₹881/- (4.5 hours)
  • Denpasar Airport to Padangbai by Towncar: Between ₹2,800/- to ₹4,200/- (47 mins)
  • Denpasar Airport to Padangbai by Taxi: Between ₹2,500/- to ₹3,100/- (48 mins)
  • Denpasar Airport to Padangbai by Ferry: Between ₹4,129/- to ₹4,480/- (1.2 hours)

By Walk:

  • Once reached Padangbai, get down from the vehicle or ferry and walk south past the Post Office.
  • Go up the steep hill for 750 metres
  • Turn left at the sign
  • After 500 more metres, you'll reach the ticket office
  • Walk down a steep, narrow path to reach the beautiful Bias Tugel Beach

Tips For Visiting Bias Tugel Beach

  1. Apply sunscreen, and carry a hat.
  2. Check tide conditions before visiting, and be careful while swimming or snorkelling. Don’t go too deep into the water.
  3. Wear comfortable shoes, as you need to hike down to the beach.
  4. Lastly, be sure to bring your own surfboard/snorkelling gear. There may not be any rentals available at the beach.
