 Take the Red line at the metro and get off at the Burj Khalifa at the station, and from here, the Dubai Mall is just a few minutes walk away. 

Routes with a stop at Dubai Mall include 27, 28, 29, 30, 50 and 81. The closest bus stop from the Dubai Mall is at Al Jafiliya, which is just within walking distance. Board the bus heading towards Dubai Mall or Burj Khalifa

If you are driving, take the Sheikh Zayed Road E11 and look for signs pointing towards the Dubai Mall or Burj Khalifa.
