The authorities have made an announcement that Chang Chenmo which is in close proximity to the Patrolling Points of Pangong Lake.
Tourists can also explore the Marsimik La Pass all the way upto Tsogtsalo which is approximately at a height of 18300 ft above sea level. These places have been forbidden because they are very close to the Line of Actual Control with China.
Several treks will also be opened for adventure lovers, including Marsimik La. In Phase Two, tourists will be allowed to explore the hot spring and a memorial that was built on 21st October in the year 1959 to honour the soldiers who were martyred by the Chinese.
The area police are ready to set up check posts in the area as the region is being developed with funding from the district.
The region has been restricted for a long time now because of its close proximity to the sensitive area, but now tourists will be able to enjoy this part of Ladakh as well.
