The Best Time To Visit Langza Village

The summer months, from April to July, are among the most favourable and best times to visit Langza village. The route is easily accessible, and the weather is pleasant, with windy nights that necessitate woollen clothing. The monsoon season is not the best time to visit since the routes from Manali and Shimla to the village are prone to landslides. Due to excessive snowfall throughout the winter season, the Langza settlement is completely cut off from the rest of the world. All of the routes are entirely closed at this time of year.

How To Reach Langza Village

By Air: The nearest airports to Langza Village in Spiti Valley are Kullu Manali Airport, Bhuntar Airport, and Shimla Airport, however, there needs to be more connectivity to all other major airports from these destinations. However, the closest major airport is Chandigarh.

 By Train: The main railway station nearest to Langza village  Spiti is Chandigarh. However, you may take the toy train from Kalka to Shimla and then arrange a road trip to the village.

 By Road: Langza Village Spiti does not have a direct road connection to the major cities. You would have to board a bus to Kaza from Shimla or Manali. Once in Kaza, there is little possibility of getting a bus to Langza, therefore, the most convenient choice is to rent a cab service.

Tips to remember for visiting Langza village

  • Langza village is a small village in the Spiti Valley. Considering this location is completely disconnected from the rest of the world, hotels in Langza village have been unable to establish themselves here. As a result, tourists may enjoy the Siptian way of life, as a few residents have begun offering  Langza village homestay services.
  • The winter and monsoon seasons are not recommended times to visit this location. The temperatures in this area go as low as -20 degrees Celsius during the winter, and it completely closes down due to severe snowfall. Although this area receives little rainfall during the monsoon season, the roadway leading to it is not a safe option due to landslides.
  • Due to weak wireless connections in the village and surrounding areas, you may experience limited to no communication with the outside world.
  • Do not forget to take home a souvenir of this area, which includes an artifact from Zama Pottery.
