A new Mumbai Goa Marine Highway is under construction, promising to make travel easier and more enjoyable. The 500 km Marine Goa Superhighway, which costs Rs 26,000 crore, will feature seven bridges and run along the beautiful Konkan coastline.

Once complete, the Mumbai Goa Highway will cut down travel time, reduce traffic jams, and help both tourists and locals reach coastal towns more easily. Drivers will get to enjoy ocean views while travelling on this modern road, which aims to boost tourism and improve connections between major trading centres in the region.

Mumbai Goa Marine Highway: A New Coastal Marvel Set To Transform Travel

Here’s what you need to know about the Mumbai Goa Marine Superhighway project
  • Connectivity

The new 500 km Marine Goa Superhighway will run alongside the current Mumbai-Goa road, giving travellers a fresh route choice along the coast.

  • Big Investment

The government is spending Rs 26,000 crore on the Mumbai Goa Marine Superhighway project to create a less crowded and more enjoyable journey between the two cities.

  • California-Style Views

Like America’s famous Pacific Highway, drivers will enjoy stunning sea views and mountain scenes from the Sahyadri range throughout their journey.

  • Bridge Network

Seven major bridges, covering 27 km in total, will connect different parts of the route while offering spectacular ocean views.

  • Kundlika Connection

A 3.8 km bridge with cable supports will join Revdanda and Salav, giving drivers amazing views over Kundlika Creek.

  • Dharamtar Crossing

A massive 10.2 km steel bridge will stretch across Dharamtar Creek, making it one of the key features of the route.

  • Double Creek Crossings

Two more impressive bridges —– the 4.3 km Agardanda Creek Bridge and the 4.4 km Jaigad Creek Bridge will feature cable-stay designs with ocean views.

  • Boost For Tourism

The highway will make it easier to visit coastal towns, helping local tourism grow as more visitors can access these areas.

  • Less Traffic Stress

By providing another route option, the new highway will help reduce traffic jams on the current Mumbai-Goa road.

  • Business Benefits

The improved road connection will help businesses transport goods more easily between Mumbai, Goa, and nearby towns, supporting local economic growth.

In Ladakh, find the perfect blend of culture, adventure, and serenity. December last year I decided that my next trip would be Ladakh but didn’t know how to go about it. I knew I wanted to travel in a group, as I had prior experiences of traveling in a group but wanted an organiser I could trust. Ladakh isn’t like other destinations wherein you need some instructions due to the high altitudes.

After an amazing trip to Tirthan with WanderOn, I decided to go to Manali-Jispa with them and yet again, the experience was worth every penny. The place was very beautiful and the quality of service was top-notch, the itinerary was very good and the quality of transportation and stays were very good. Had an awesome time there and made some good friends as well. Lastly, our trip captains Priyasha and Rachit managed the entire trip very well and were so fun and made our trip an experience worth remembering.
