About Maruti Temple In Goa

Shri Marutirai Sansthan was inaugurated on the 23rd of January 1934, the 10th day of Magh (according to the Hindu calendar). Originally the Goa Shri Maruti Temple of Mala was small, but the shape that exists nowadays was changed by the new temple committee in the year 1980.

Although the primary fairs at this temple are Navaratri and Chaitra Purnima, Hanuman Jayanti, Ram Navami, and all of the Saturdays within the holy Hindu month of Shravan mas.

Originally, this day is celebrated by carrying a palanquin parade of the deity, inside the precinct of the temple. However, to extend this festival, the parade moved from the temple to Mala, Panaji, up to Vitthal and Rukmini Temple and further took a flip at the place near People’s High School, to return.
