History of Kazakh Musical Instruments

The History of Kazakh Musical Instruments Museum dates back to the year 1908, when it first came into existence. This wooden building is located in Panfilov Park, adjacent to the Ascension Cathedral. After the Soviet Union was established, the building was used as the House of Officers but in the year 1980, it transformed into the Musical Instruments Museum. 

The instruments inside the Museum of Musical Instruments, Almaty are displayed along with the informational exhibits that give details of the history, and cultural significance and historical significance of Kazakh instruments.

If you are visiting the museum, you will be able to witness the instruments up close and learn more about their role in the music culture of the country.

Architectural Design Of The Museum Of Musical Instruments

The Architectural design of the Museum of Musical Instruments has been a masterpiece by a Russian Soviet architect A.P Zenkov. The building was constructed in the year 1908 and was used for the purpose of Army meetings and was basically called the House of Officers.
