Son Doong Cave

Son Doong Cave is the largest cave in the world, located in Quang Binh Province, Vietnam. It was found by a local farmer in 1991 and explored by British cavers in 2009. The cave is over 5 kilometers long with sections reaching 200 meters high and 150 meters wide. 

You can see huge stalagmites up to 70 meters tall and an underground river inside the cave. There are also large openings called dolines that let sunlight in. Visiting Son Doong Cave is a big adventure.You can only go with guided tours which usually last 4-5 days and require good physical fitness.

Tours are limited to protect the cave and need to be booked well in advance. The best time to visit is from February to August, during the dry season. Son Doong Cave is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, showing the incredible beauty of nature’s underground world.
