Ever since its inception, Mana Village in Uttarakhand has been said to be the last Indian village due to its close proximity to the Indo-Tibetan Border. Mana refused to be the last one, so now it’s the First Indian Village as the Border Road Organization has put up a sign board that says “India’s First Village.” Located at approximately 10500 ft above sea level, Mana Village is quite famous because it is just 3km from the holy shrine of Badrinath. Pilgrims often visit the village due to its beautiful landscapes and religious significance. It is one of the oldest inhabited villages in the world and is also believed to be the birthplace of the Pandavas, who were the characters of the Epic
