Delhi folks might soon get to enjoy boat rides on the Yamuna River Cruise starting February 2026. The cruise in Delhi will run between Sonia Vihar and Jagatpur, covering about 6-7 km upstream of Wazirabad Barrage. The government is spending around ₹20 crore on this project to boost eco-friendly tourism.
The Yamuna is now officially National Waterway 110(NW-110), running 1,080 km from Delhi all the way to Prayagraj. These electric-solar boats will carry 40 people at a time and come with music, food, and entertainment. Two floating jetties are already set up at Sonia Vihar, and each one can handle up to 50 people at a time.
Yamuna Cruise Delhi is part of Delhi's bigger plan to develop the riverfront for tourism and recreation.
