Zangto Pelri Lhakhang occupies a special place in the rich tapestry of Bhutanese history and spirituality. The shrine reveres Guru Rinpoche or Padmasambhava as he is also known, the “second Buddha” of Bhutan. Guru Rinpoche is credited with introducing Buddhism to the region, and he remains a central figure in Bhutanese spiritual traditions.

Standing as a miniature replica of Guru Rinpoche’s divine abode, Zangto Pelri Lhakhang blends traditional Bhutanese architectural styles with profound spiritual symbolism Over time, Zangto Pelri Lhakhang has developed not only as a religious site, but also as a cultural icon attracting both locals and tourists seeking blessings and an immersive spiritual atmosphere that permeates the temple premises.

Ladakh isn’t like other destinations wherein you need some instructions due to the high altitudes.
