Ubud Swings to Ijen's Blue Fire: Bali's Wildest Expedition

Wake up to a signature floating breakfast at the villa, trays drifting across the pool as the jungle wakes up around you.

Depart your hotel around midnight (00:00) for a drive to the Ijen trailhead ahead of sunrise.

Begin the trek by 1:30 AM, covering roughly 3 km of steep, rocky trail in about 1.5-2 hours.

By 3:30 AM, reach the crater rim, where sulphur miners are already hauling loads up from below.

Witness Ijen Crater's turquoise acidic lake, its electric blue sulphur flames flickering in complete darkness.

Walk past the sulphur mining landscape at close range, watching miners chip raw blocks straight from the vents.

At around 5:30 AM, catch sweeping sunrise views from the rim as golden light spreads across the crater lake.

After breakfast, transfer to Sanur Harbour for a speedboat crossing to Nusa Penida, Bali's dramatic outlying island.
