Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Bagdogra. Transfer to Phuentsholing.

Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport, meet your Trip Captain and fellow travellers as you begin your Bhutan group tour package.

Enjoy your scenic drive towards Jaigaon, the last Indian border town, after which you will enter Bhutan.

Complete the immigration and permit formalities upon reaching Phuentsholing.

Later, head to your hotel, check into your stay and take some rest after the journey.

Later, you can spend some time exploring the local markets or getting to know your fellow travellers before the adventure begins.

Get ready to begin your exciting Bhutan group tour with Tsechu Festival, where breathtaking landscapes meet vibrant cultural celebrations.

Return to the hotel for dinner.

Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

Day 2

Phuentsholing to Thimphu. Visit the Buddha Dordenma Statue.

Post breakfast in the morning, check out from the hotel and board your transfers to Thimphu.

Today's road journey (approx 4-5 hour) will take you through beautiful mountain roads, waterfalls, dense forests, and charming Bhutanese villages.

En route, take a short stop at Chuzom Bridge to witness the beautiful confluence of the Paro and Thimphu rivers.

Upon reaching Thimphu, check-in at the hotel and freshen-up.

We will then head out to visit the magnificent Buddha Dordenma Statue overlooking the capital city.

Spend some time soaking in the peaceful surroundings before heading to your hotel.

You can then spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 3

Attend the Tsechu Festival. Transfer to Punakha via Dochula Pass.

Post breakfast, get ready to witness one of Bhutan's grandest cultural celebrations.

Today, experience the vibrant Tsechu Festival, where locals dressed in their traditional attire gather to witness sacred masked dances and centuries-old Buddhist rituals.

As part of your Bhutan group tour with Tsechu Festival, enjoy the festive atmosphere and get a chance to see Bhutan's rich cultural heritage up close.

Later, board your transfers and continue your journey (approx 3-4 hours) towards Punakha via the scenic Dochula Pass.

Take a quick stop at this pass to admire the surrounding views of the Himalayas while sipping a hot cup of tea/coffee in the cafe at the pass.

We will also visit the 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens that are built on the pass in memory of the Bhutanese soldiers who died in “Operation All Clear” in 2003.

Continue your drive to Punakha and upon reaching it, you will complete the check-in process at your hotel.

Overnight stay in Punakha.

Day 4

Visit Punakha Dzong and Suspension Bridge. Transfer to Phobjikha Valley.

Have your breakfast at the hotel and get ready for today's sightseeing.

Begin your day by visiting the magnificent Punakha Dzong, beautifully located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers.

Spend time exploring this beautiful administrative building, heading to the famous Punakha Suspension Bridge.

Walk on Bhutan’s Longest suspension bridge and soak in the scenic atmosphere.

Later, board your transfers and continue your scenic drive towards the beautiful Phobjikha Valley.

Upon reaching, complete the check-in process at your hotel and spend the rest of the time at leisure.

Overnight stay in Phobjikha.

Day 5

Phobjikha to Paro. Day at leisure in Paro.

Wake up to a peaceful morning in Phobjikha Valley and enjoy your breakfast.

Later, board your transfers and drive towards the beautiful town of Paro.

Reach Paro by evening and complete the check-in process at your hotel.

Spend the rest of your day exploring the local markets, relaxing at a café, or strolling through the charming streets with your fellow travellers.

Your Bhutan Tsechu Festival group tour also gives you enough leisure time to discover Bhutan at your own pace.

Day 6

Paro local sightseeing. Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery.

Post breakfast in the morning, get ready for one of the highlights of your Bhutan journey.

Today, you will visit the famous Taktsang Monastery (Tiger Nest Temple), located 11 kms from Paro.

Drive till the starting point of the hiking trail that will take you to the Taktsang Monastery.

Start the hike through the beautiful pine forest to reach the magnificent Taktsang Monastery.

You will have to hike for 2-4 hours (depending on your speed) to reach one of the holiest sites in Bhutan which clings impossibly to a sheer cliff face 900 meters above the valley.

Spend some peaceful time walking around the monastery listening to the prayer chants or the sound of the fluttering flags or quietly meditating in the caves of the monastery.

After spending enough time in the monastery, we will start our return journey to Paro.

Overnight stay at the hotel in Paro.

Day 7

Paro to Siliguri. Enjoy a scenic road journey.

Have your breakfast in the morning and check out from the hotel.

Board your transfers and begin your return journey towards India.

Enjoy one last scenic drive (approx 7 hours) through Bhutan's beautiful mountain landscapes before crossing Phuentsholing.

Reach Siliguri by evening and complete the check-in process at your hotel.

Share stories and memories with your fellow travellers as your Tsechu Festival community trip comes to an end.

Overnight stay in Siliguri.

Day 8

Departure. Siliguri to Bagdogra Airport.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Bagdogra Airport (by your own) as per your flight schedule.

The Chimi Lakhang temple has some sexual depictions. You may want to reconsider visiting this place if you are not comfortable with children seeing these)
Departure time from Pick Up Point to Phuentsholing Approx. 12 PM. Plan your arrival flight timing accordingly.
The age limit of our group departures is 16 to 42 years due to the power-packed itineraries that we provide to our travellers. We can customise trips for travellers beyond the mentioned age bracket.
An extra mattress will be provided for triple occupancy.
