This 7 Days Backpacking Tour offers an immersive experience, starting from the vibrant city of Kochi to the picturesque hill station of Munnar, and then to the tranquil backwaters of Alleppey, and finally concluding in the coastal town of Varkala. Start your Kerala Tour with your arrival in Kochi, where you will explore the colonial heritage buildings in Fort Kochi, tucked on the coastline. You can also shop for some souvenirs for your loved ones .
On the next day, we will travel to the scenic hill station of Munnar. While on the way to Munnar, we will take a detour to visit the largest and the most famous waterfalls in Kerala - the Athirappilly waterfalls that cascades down from a whooping height of 80 ft.
Get a chance to explore the gems of Munnar - a hill station known for its aromatic tea gardens and scenic landscape. In Munnar, explore the Eravikulam National Park and get a chance to spot the endangered Nilgiri tahr here. We will also take you to Tata Tea Museum to understand the tea manufacturing process. Experience the tranquility of the hill station as you visit the mesmerizing Mattupetty Dam and the Echo point. Relish your taste buds with the local dishes as you sail through the backwaters in Alleppey, indulging in the simple pleasures of life.
Varkala - the emerging hippie town on the coast of Kerala adds the touch of magic to this Kerala backpacking Trip. On the way to Varkala, stop by Jatayu Earth’s center to marvel at the world’s largest bird statue and explore the surrounding nature park. In Varkala, explore the Munroe Island, where you can take a boat to explore the local lifestyle through canals. Watch one of the most beautiful sunsets in Kerala from a cliff overlooking the golden sandy beach and the endless ocean. You can also go cafe hopping while you spend a night at Varkala.

Itinerary
Have a hearty breakfast in the morning, and get ready to board your transfers to Munnar - a popular hill station in Kerala.
Board your transfers to first visit the Athirappilly Waterfalls which is around 73 kms from Kochi.
Marvel at the largest waterfalls in Kerala that falls from a whooping height of 80 ft.
After admiring the cascading waterfalls, continue your return journey to Munnar.
Upon reaching Munnar, check-in to the hotel and call it a day.
Overnight stay in Munnar.
Wake up to a beautiful morning in Munnar.
Have your breakfast at the hotel and get ready for the day.
We will start by visiting the Eravikulam National Park which is a natural habitat of Nilgiri Tahr, the endangered mountain goat.
Next, you will visit the Tata Tea Museum to get an insight into the history of tea plantations and processing from ancient times till today.
Further, spend some time admiring the views of the Mattupetty Dam backed with green rolling hills.
We will conclude our sightseeing by visiting the Echo Point where you can spend some leisure time amidst the lush green hills covered with forests and tea plantations.
Overnight stay in Munnar.
Post breakfast in the morning, get ready and board your transfers.
Enjoy your ride through the coastal landscapes of Kerala to Alleppey.
Upon reaching Alleppey, board your day cruise where you will also have your local lunch.
Enjoy a beautiful afternoon by spending some leisure time in the backwaters.
Later, check-in to your hotel in Alleppey and call it a day.
Overnight stay in Alleppey.
Have your breakfast in the morning and get ready for the day.
Board your transfers to the popular coastal town of Varkala.
On the way to Varkala, we will take a short detour to marvel at the world’s largest bird sculpture at Jatayu Earth’s Center.
After spending some time exploring the surrounding nature park, we will continue our journey to Varkala.
Upon reaching Varkala, check-in to the hotel and rest for the day.
Overnight stay in Varkala.
Wake up to a beautiful morning in Kerala and have your breakfast at the hotel.
Get ready and board your transfers to Munroe Island, located 50 km north of Varkala.
Explore Munroe Island which is at the beautiful confluence of Ashtamudi Lake and Kallada River.
Later, start your return journey back to Varkala.
In the evening, we will visit a cliff in Varkala to watch a beautiful sunset over the vast ocean.
The rest of the time is free for you to explore the cafes around.
Overnight stay in Varkala.
Have your breakfast at the hotel and get ready to board your transfers.
Your tour concludes once you are dropped off at Trivandrum Airport for your onward journey.
