8 Days Leh Ladakh Trip with Flight: Epic Journey to Umling La

After breakfast, we will head out to explore the cultural and scenic wonders of Leh.

We begin with Shanti Stupa,a white dome Buddhist stupa, offering panoramic views of the entire Leh valley.

Further, we will ride to Sangam Point, where the Indus and Zanskar Rivers meet, which is a beautiful location in Ladakh.

As we continue, we will stop at Magnetic Hill, where vehicles appear to roll uphill against gravity.

Our next visit is Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, a place of spiritual significance dedicated to Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

Upon returning to Leh, we will explore the Hall of Fame, a museum paying tribute to war heroes.

In the evening, enjoy free time at Leh Market, where you can shop for souvenirs and taste local delicacies.

After breakfast, we will begin our adventurous journey to Nubra Valley, passing through dramatic landscapes.

We will ascend Khardung La, standing tall at 5,359m, one of the highest motorable roads in the world.

Further, we will ride along the Shyok River, where the valley transforms into vast, open plains.

Upon reaching Diskit Monastery, we will visit the towering 106-ft Maitreya Buddha statue.

Our journey continues to the Hunder Sand Dunes, where we can experience a Bactrian camel safari or an ATV ride (self-paid).

We will start the day with breakfast before heading towards Pangong Lake via the Agam and Shyok route.

As we continue our journey, we will witness ever-changing landscapes, from desert-like valleys to high-altitude lakes.

Upon reaching Pangong Lake, its crystal-clear blue waters and dramatic mountain backdrop will leave you mesmerized.

The lake stretches 136 km across India and China, making it one of the most breathtaking sights in Ladakh.

We will spend some time walking along the serene shores and visit the famous 3 Idiots movie spot for some memorable pictures.

Overnight stay near Pangong Lake.

As the sun rises over Pangong Lake, we will start our journey toward Hanle after breakfast.

We will pass through Chushul village, an offbeat route known for its remoteness and untouched beauty.

Further, we will stop at the Rezang La War Memorial, a tribute to the soldiers of the 1962 Indo-China war.

Continuing the journey, we will travel through rugged terrain, crossing the Loma Bridge over the Indus River.

Upon reaching Hanle, we will check into a cozy homestay and enjoy a delicious dinner.

After breakfast, we will set out for an expedition to Umling La, the highest motorable road in the world at 5,640m.

Our journey will take us across Photi La (5,524m) and Nurbu La (5,282m), offering unmatched views of the vast Ladakhi landscape.

Reaching Umling La is a once-in-a-lifetime moment, as it surpasses the altitude of Everest Base Camp.

We will spend time capturing the surreal beauty of this high-altitude marvel before we travel back.

Upon returning to Hanle, we will have dinner and relax at our homestay.

After breakfast, we will start our return journey to Leh, covering Chumathang, Upshi, Karu, Thikshey, and Shey.

On the way, we will pass Chumathang, known for its natural sulphur hot springs, believed to have medicinal properties.

Further, we will drive through scenic villages and picturesque monasteries, experiencing Ladakh’s rich cultural essence.

Upon reaching Leh, check-in to your hotel and relax.

You can also explore Leh city on your own, and indulge in some shopping and try out local delicacies.

Return to your hotel and enjoy a warm dinner.
