  • Snorkeling : Snorkeling in Amed Beach is perfectly for Snorkelling because it has ideal conditions. The northeast location protects Amed from Indian Ocean swells and the south-east trade winds, resulting in gentle currents and glassy water perfect for snorkeling.
  • Watch the Sunrise: Amed Beach is a fabulous spot to watch the sunrise, accompanied by a long line of traditional fishing boats. A simple way to see the sunrise is to sit on the coastline.Alternatively, you can hire a local fishing boat in the Balinese called ”Jukung”.
  • Fishing: If you like fishing, you can also hire one of the traditional boats and the fishermen will escort you to the fishing site. The fishing activities usually start in the morning to get a better chance to catch barracudas and mackerels.

How to reach Amed Beach

There are many options to reach Amed beach in Bali. It is a three-hour drive from the Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali. You can either take a scooter or a cab service to drop you off at Amed Beach.

If you are travelling solo and are not carrying too much luggage then you can easily hire a scooter ride. Alternatively, if you are traveling with family or have large suitcases then hiring a taxi rental service will be a better option.

You can also request a hotel airport service.

Best Time to Visit

Although it is hot all year round, the best time to visit Amed is from May to September. During this time, it’s much drier, meaning clearer views of the mountains and better visibility for diving and snorkeling.
