1. Love Lock Bridge Paris: The Bridge Of Locks

Imagine taking vows, or getting your and your partner’s name on a lock and putting it on a bridge. Now imagine thousands of locks in that very same bridge, that is what the Love Lock bridge Paris looked like till the year 2015.

The idea was to put locks and throw the keys in the river while making a wish. Also known as the Passerelle des Arts, dates back to the time of the Napoleon, and the bridge was rebuilt in the 1980s to retain its original aesthetics.

However, as time passed, the number of locks soared, thereby increasing the weight and undermining the structural integrity. In the year 2015, the sides of the Love Lock Bridge Paris France were replaced with transparent panels. The locks of Love Bridge Paris France were replaced, which used to make it a popular bridge in France but now the popularity may have seen a little dip. The place is lock-free but hosts art exhibitions, and makes a great place for summer picnics.

So you may not be able to put locks on the bridge anymore but you can still visit and make the most of your Europe Trip.

2. Pont Neuf: Oldest Brige in Paris France

Welcome to Pont Neuf, the most famous bridge in Paris France, which is also the oldest bridge in the city. The word Pont Neuf literally means a new bridge, which is quite strange because we just mentioned that it is the oldest bridge in the city.

The bridge has 12 Romanesque arches, which brings a sense of antiquity to the city, making it one of the most beautiful bridges in Paris.

3. Alexandre Bridge Paris: The Prettiest One

The Alexandre Bridge Paris, also known as the Pont Alexandre III Bridge in Paris France is another famous bridge in Paris France as it is the prettiest among all, giving others tough competition.

Now you must be wondering why is the Alexandre Bridge considered one of the most beautiful bridges in Paris. It’s because the bridge exhibits gorgeous detailing that will leave you stunned with awe and admiration. The bridge also goes by the name Gold Bridge in Paris, so don’t get confused.

This pretty bridge in Paris France is designed in elaborate Beaux-Arts style, bearing 32 ornate nouveau glass-globed lamb posts, cherubs, and statues of lions, making it look absolutely lovely. When in Paris, you should definitely visit this place and witness for yourself, why the Alexander Bridge Paris is the most famous bridge in Paris, visited by an infinite number of visitors every year.

4. Pont de Bir Hakeim

Featuring a stunning backdrop of the Eiffel Tower, the Pont de Bir Hakeim is a popular bridge in Paris France. The bridge offers picturesque metal colonnades and some hanging Art Deco streetlights, which line the lower level of the bridge.

The bridge was completed in the year 1905 and features a steel arch bridge crossing the Seine River, which people can often see while enjoying the Seine River cruises.

The iron sculptures on the bridge personify Science, Labour, and Electricity, which decorate the lower part of the bridge. The best way to see the bridge is through a River Cruise.

5. Bridge of Remembrance: Pont de l’Alma

Another one of the popular bridges in Paris that has made it to our exclusive list, is the Bridge of Remembrance, commissioned by Napoleon III. The bridge's construction was completed in 1856, and upon completion, the bridge bore four statues of four different soldiers. However, only one soldier remained when the bridge was reconstructed in the 1970s.

Now why is it one of the best bridges in Paris? It’s because it runs from the Paris Sewer Museum to the Place de l’Alma(or Place Diana), where you may find the Liberty Flame, which if you notice clearly, you will see that it is an exact replica of the flame held by the Statue of Liberty.

In Ladakh, find the perfect blend of culture, adventure, and serenity. December last year I decided that my next trip would be Ladakh but didn’t know how to go about it. I knew I wanted to travel in a group, as I had prior experiences of traveling in a group but wanted an organiser I could trust. Ladakh isn’t like other destinations wherein you need some instructions due to the high altitudes.
