There are amazing places to stay overnight at Daintree Rainforest. Some of them are:

The Daintree Discovery Centre, open since 1989, is a fun place to learn about the rainforest! It’s one of the most popular places to visit in the Daintree, and it helps teach people how to protect nature. You can see moving dinosaur models, climb a tall 23-metre tower to see the treetops, walk on a high bridge that is 125 metres long and try to spot cassowaries (huge rare birds) in the wild.

3. Rewind And Refresh In Swimming Holes

Take a swim or cool off in Mason’s Swimming Hole, a peaceful natural pool. It is definitely one of the reasons why the Daintree Rainforest in Australia is the perfect place to enjoy nature. So when you’re exploring the area, make sure to stop by this peaceful spot. It’s perfect for taking a break and enjoying a refreshing dip in nature.

4. How About A Nice Stroll Having An Ice Cream?

The Daintree Ice Cream Company is a special ice cream shop with beautiful views! They make unique Australian ice cream flavours using local fruits like star fruit, lychee, custard apple, and mulberries. Depending on when you visit, you might even try interesting flavours from tropical fruits like jackfruit, Malay apple, and more. But there’s more to love about this ice cream shop; they grow plants, help injured wildlife, and protect the environment.

5. Experience Daintree’s Waters

Want to see the Daintree Rainforest in Australia in a special way? Instead of walking, you can float down the Mossman River! A company called Back Country Bliss offers this amazing adventure. While floating, you can look for platypuses swimming in the water, listen to birds singing and try to spot them in the trees or watch beautiful bright blue butterflies flying around. It is one of the refreshing things to do in Daintree Rainforest in Australia.

6. Don’t Miss….Spotting Crocodiles

Seeing a wild crocodile is super exciting and one of the best things to do in Daintree Rainforest in Australia. As you float quietly on the Daintree River, you might feel the adrenaline rush after spotting these huge creatures resting on the muddy riverbank. Many Daintree Rainforest Tours offer boat rides to enjoy the peaceful river and spot crocodiles.

7. Explore Cow Bay

Cow Bay is a special place where the jungle meets the ocean. It got its name because of the dugongs (which look like gentle sea cows) that swim there to eat plants growing underwater. The bay has peaceful, quiet waters where you can:
  • Explore coral reefs near the shore
  • Go fishing  and
  • Enjoy leisurely walks. Walking here makes you connect with nature.

I knew I wanted to travel in a group, as I had prior experiences of traveling in a group but wanted an organiser I could trust. Ladakh isn’t like other destinations wherein you need some instructions due to the high altitudes.
