The good news is that the government has granted permission for the renovation of these houseboats, which have been long awaited. The initiative has brought relief to the local communities because it will boost tourism and save the livelihood of people who call these houseboats their home.Â
According to reports, the renovation will lead to a facelift of these old boathouses, for which skilled craftsmen will be engaged in the renovation process.Â
