Getting to Elephant Beach in Andaman is an adventure in itself. There are two ways to reach this paradise:

1. By Boat

The easiest and most popular method to reach Elephant Beach is by boat. The boats leave from the main jetty of Havelock Island and take nearly 20 minutes to reach the beach. However, the view during the ride itself is amazing as it encompasses the entire island’s coastline. The only disadvantage of this beach is that it can be accessed by boat only during specific hours, so better to check the time and book tickets beforehand.

2. Through Trekking

A fun way for adventurous people to visit Elephant Beach in Andaman is by trek. The distance between the start and the destination from Radhanagar Beach is nearly 2 km. The entire walk may take around 30-40 minutes, depending upon your speed of walking. Since it is passing through a very dense forest area, the scenery is lovely as well. Yet, it has a very mud-covered path so one must always prepare with proper walking shoes.

It’s its own charm to both options. If you want to enjoy beautiful boat rides, the boat trip is ideal for you. And if you enjoy trekking, and you’re interested in hiking around the island, then it’s an amazing trek.
