If you love road trips and have the time, you can drive all the way from Delhi to Shillong. While this option isn’t the most practical, it offers an adventurous way to explore North India and Northeast India.

  • Route: Delhi → Lucknow → Patna → Siliguri → Guwahati → Shillong.

Driving non-stop would take about 40 hours, but realistically, you’ll need 4–5 days with breaks for rest and sightseeing.
