India Gets Its First Longest Glass Bridge In Kerala

The bridge is situated at an elevation of 3600 feet above sea level, with a length of 40 meters, and if you stand at the end of the bridge, you will be able to see the lush greenery of the valleys and also get a glimpse of the nearby towns of Kootikkal and Kokkayar. 

This glass bridge is supported with the help of robust steel cables and a towering pole. For the construction of the bridge, almost 35 tonnes of steel has been imported from Germany. 

Nature enthusiasts are going to find solace here, and walking across the bridge will allow you to witness the miraculous beauty of Vagamon, ensuring that Kerala is indeed God’s own country. One can also indulge in various thrilling adventure activities. 

The Glass Bridge project has been carried out through a public-private partnership and took almost INR 3 crores worth of investment to complete the project.
