The Kamla Nehru Prani Sangrahalaya Indore, also known as Indore Zoo, is a zoological park located in the Navlakha region of the Indore Municipal Region, and the Indore Municipal Corporation manages it. It is one of the most advanced zoos in India, and it has adopted technological aspects such as a touchless entry system. The Indore Zoo is the most extensive Zoological garden of Madhya Pradesh, and it is spread around an area of 21035 sq.m. Apart from the Kamla Nehru Prani Sangrahalaya Indore is one of the central or recognized zoos out of 180 zoos in India. The Indore Zoo consists of different species of animals and birds. History Of Indore Zoo
The Indore Zoo was established in 1974 in the Navlakha region of Indore. Initially, it was spread around in an area of 17 acres, but after a few years, in 1999, the Zoo spread over 32 acres, which was the land of Quadibag, and now the whole area is spread over 51 acres. In 2017, Indore Zoo became the first intelligent Zoo in India. Another speciality of the Zoo is that they tell you to install an app on your smartphone that will tell you interesting facts about the animals whenever the bird or animal comes near the visitors.

The Indore Zoo consists of a wide range of wild animals and birds from different corners of the world, and you must think about what you can do.
1 . Exploring The Snake House
To increase the number of visitors to the Zoo, they opened up a snake house in 2019; the idea of this house was simple: to identify the different species of snakes under one roof. Today, there are species such as Common Krait or Indian Krate, Russell’s Viper, Saw-Scaled Viper, and Indian Spectacled Cobra. There are even non-poisonous snakes, such as the Asian Rat Snake, Chequered Keelback, and Banded Racer Snake. 2 . Observing The Wild Animals

Indore Zoo Ticket Price
The ticket price may vary accordingly. To make things affordable, the entry fee is just INR 10, and kids up to 2 years are exempted. The tickets for foreigners are INR 500; if you want to take a camera inside the Zoo, you have to pay an extra INR 30 for a DSLR and INR 50 for a video camera.
