Life Of Leonardo Da Vinci

Leonardo da Vinci was among the most talented geniuses of his time. He was a brilliant multifaceted man with great talent, and was a popular scientist, inventor, artist and whatnot. He is known for plenty of ambitious projects, but his painting Mona Lisa, which lies in the Louvre Museum in Paris, is the finest piece of work, attracting millions of visitors every day to this museum.

  1. Interactive Machines: The museum features interactive life-sized machines with over 200 wooden models. The visitors can enjoy and interact with various models which are a result of Da Vinci’s models, including war machines, flying machines, etc.
  2. Reproduced Work: You will find a dedicated section of reproductions of masterpieces of Leonardo’s paintings, including Mona Lisa, The Last Supper. The replicas have been designed using the same materials as well as the techniques to keep them as close to the original one.
  3. Anatomical Sketches: You will come across anatomical sketches and various studies that offer in-depth insights into the scientific approaches by Leonardo.
  4. Multi-media animations: The multimedia animations will take you on a journey through Leonardo’s life, inventions and artistic achievements at the Leonardo da Vinci Museum.

  • Closed: 25th December

Metro: Take Line A to Flaminio station. From the exit, it’s a 5-minute walk downhill to Piazza del Popolo and the museum entrance in the basilica’s vaults

Taxi/Rideshare: Simply request “Piazza del Popolo” or “Santa Maria del Popolo.”

On Foot: The museum is an easy 5-minute stroll from the top of Via del Corso and a 10-minute walk from the Spanish Steps, making it perfect to combine with a historic city-centre walking tour.
