Lhodrak Kharchhu Monastery- Step into the Spiritual realm of Bhutan

Beauty of the monastery 

Imagine walking into its doors and being greeted by the magnificent statues and paintings decorating the prayer hall. Each corner has a narrative, decorated with vivid images of deities and elements from Buddhist scripture. 

The architecture exudes pure Bhutanese beauty—those gracefully curved roofs and detailed woodwork that transport you back in time. And the expansions? It’s just mesmerizing! 

The monastery of Bhutan overlooks a green valley dotted with traditional dwellings and surrounded by dense pine forests. It’s the perfect spot for peaceful moments, especially at sunrise or sunset when sunlight bathes everything in gold. But what really captures one’s attention is the grim life inside the monastery. Monks of all ages, dressed in red robes, go about their daily tasks with devotion. 

You may happen to find them engaged in music and meditation, further enhancing the peaceful atmosphere. During the festival, vibrant colors and rhythmic dances dominate the monastery, allowing you to experience the diverse cultural mosaic of Bhutan.
