Right now, Tokyo in Japan is the biggest and most populated city in the world with 37 million people. But things might change soon. The UN thinks Delhi will become the most populated city in the world by 2028.
This shift could make Delhi the new holder of the title “Most Populated City in the World”.
India’s Population to Peak in 2062, says UN Report. India is now the world’s most crowded country and will stay that way. India’s population will reach its highest point in 2062, with about 1.7 billion people.
By 2030, there will be 43 very big cities in the world. Each will have more than 10 million people. Most of these big cities will be in developing countries. According to a UN report, by 2050, two out of every three people will probably live in cities.
As more people move to cities, countries around the world are facing some tough problems. The United Nations has pointed.
The problems in the most populated city in the world include: not enough homes for everyone, crowded transportation systems, struggles to provide electricity and water, not enough jobs, and too few schools and hospitals.
July 11 is World Population Day. This day has been celebrated every year since 1989. It aims to make people think about population issues and how to handle our growing world population. Especially when many cities are getting bigger than ever before, making these issues more important than ever.
According to the World Rank Population, the order of the top 10 populous cities is as follows
Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Surat, Pune and Jaipur.
