Mount Kailash To Open For Tourists After 3 Years

Kailash Mountain, or Mount Kailash, is the most revered mountain for the Hindus and has been a significant pilgrimage site for a long time. Every year between the months of May to September, the Mount Kailash Yatra starts, and the region witnesses thousands of pilgrims every year. The mountain is said to be the holy abode of Lord Shiva.

According to reports, from September onwards, people will be able to visit Mount Kailash’s viewpoint from the Indian territory. The Border Road Organization(BRO) has already started cutting roads from KMVN huts from Nabhidhang in the district of Pithoragarh. The work is likely to be completed by September.

Since the Kailash Yatra has not taken place in the last three years due to the pandemic, the Indian government is doing everything to make the Kailash Mountain accessible to the pilgrims, even if that means finding an alternative route.
