1. Walk Between Munduk Rice Terraces

In Munduk's Jalan Raya area, you can visit beautiful stepped rice fields. The cool weather here is perfect for growing crops. You can watch farmers using old-style tools to plant and collect rice. The Munduk rice terraces make the whole area look very green and pretty.

2. Hike To Munduk Waterfalls Bali

The most popular activity here is the Munduk Waterfall hike. On this walk, you'll get to see four stunning waterfalls. The trek takes between 3 to 5 hours, depending on how long you want to enjoy spending at each waterfall. The best part? You don't need a guide(you can explore on your own).

3. Visit The Twin Lakes Viewpoint

While you climb high, you can see beautiful lakes below. You'll find small restaurants where you can sit and enjoy fried rice while taking in the view. There's a spot with a viewing platform for taking pictures too.

4. Explore The Banyan Tree

Near Munduk, there's a huge Banyan tree that's 700 years old! It's so big you can walk between its roots! People say a special spirit lives there that can grant wishes. A long time ago, when the Dutch ruled the area, local people used to hide in this tree. If you visit, you can also walk to two nearby temples called Pura Pecalang and Pura Subak.

5. Visit Coffee Plantations

Munduk is famous for having some of Bali's best coffee. You can visit the coffee farms in the village to see how coffee is grown. There are many farms to choose from, or you can just stop at a local cafe to taste the fresh coffee yourself, making it one of the best things to do in Bali for an amazing trip in 2025.

Munduk is cooler than other places in Bali as it is situated up in the mountains. During the rainy season (December to March), it can rain all day long. Hence the best time to visit Munduk is between April and September when there's less rain.

By Flight:

  • The nearest airport is Ngurah Rai International Airport.
  • Munduk Village is 82-85 km from the airport.
  • It takes 2.5 hours on average to reach the village based on the transport mode you choose (Bus/taxi).

By Shuttle/Bus:

  • You can catch a bus from Ubud to reach Munduk for approximately ₹535/-
  • Or, take a shuttle to Bedugul which is 22 km from Munduk, and a 40-minute drive.

By Private Taxi:

  • Taxi is the most convenient way to travel to Munduk from anywhere.
  • From Airport to Munduk: ₹2677.03/-(approx)
  • From Kuta to Munduk: ₹1606.22/- (79 km, 2 hours 15 minutes approx)
  • From Ubud to Munduk: ₹1338.51/- (65 km, 2 hours approx)
  • From Singaraja to Munduk: ₹803.11/- (35 km, 1 hour approx)

Since Munduk is a simple mountain village, you won't find any bars here. Most places to eat are inside hotels, guesthouses, and coffee farms.

Warungs/ Restaurants

  • Along the streets, you'll find many small local food stalls called warungs. Popular ones on Jl. Pura Puseh street are Warung Made and Warung Classic.
  • Warung Makan Kadir is known for its tasty Balinese rice dish with meat and veggies.
  • If you want a nice view while eating, try Eco Cafe near Munduk Waterfall on Jl Kayu Putih Street.
  • For fresh fruit juices, visit Bali Panorama Restaurant.
  • And if you're craving Western food, you can go to Ngiring Ngewedang Restaurant, which is just outside Munduk.
