Finally, the British seized it in 1772 AD, utilizing it as a weapons warehouse until India gained independence.

The fort is located at the border of River Ganga on two sides and is famous for its natural beauty and historical events. Spread across 34,000 sq. ft, the fort is a solid structure that stands on a rock, which was part of the Vindhya Range. Nestled in the Chandauli district, these Canyon and waterfalls give a captivating landscape, These waterfalls are part of the Chandra Prabha Wildlife Park and Chandra Prabha River.
