1. Awantipora Ruins

Awantipora Ruins is a lost paradise Kashmir. The ruins were founded by Awantivarman, the king who reigned Kashmir during the 9th century. Awantipora is an ancient township, located at a distance of 29 km from Srinagar, and is not one of the popular tourist attractions in Pampore but still worth the visit, if you are a history buff. These ruins are evidence of the rich historical and cultural heritage of Kashmir during the time, making it one of the offbeat places to visit near Pampore.

2. Jamia Masjid

If you wish to witness the cultural diversity of Pampore Srinagar Kashmir, then you should definitely pay a visit to the Jamia Masjid in Pampore. 

Jamia Masjid is an integral spot of Pampore Tourism, and the intricate architecture of the mosque makes it a popular tourist places in Pampore Srinagar Kashmir. The peaceful ambiance of the mosque is what draws tourists to this place.

3. Pampore Garden

There are a few things to do in Pampore that you can indulge yourself into. 
  • Witness Saffron Harvesting: Pampore is popular for its saffron fields, and the fine quality saffron produced here, so you can imagine how cool would it be to witness its harvesting. The process of harvesting is quite fascinating to watch. The charm of the process is to watch the farmers dedicatedly hand pick the saffron one by one. 
  • Pampore Shopping: Our travel guide suggests you to check out the Pampore market, for it offers some of the exclusive handicrafts, and traditional Kashmiri stuff, including shawls, pherans and obviously saffron. 
  • Attend The saffron Festival: If you happen to visit during late October to November, you can even attend the Saffron Festival. The event features traditional saffron picking, overwhelming cultural performances, local handicraft exhibitions, which is a delight to be a part of. It also features a culinary delight infused with saffron to experience flavours of Kashmir.

Best Time To Visit Pampore

How To Reach Pampore Kashmir?

By Air: If you are flying to Srinagar, then you can hire a taxi upon arrival. Srinagar Airport is approximately 19 km from Pampore. 

By Railways: Pampore has a railway station of it’s own so you can also reach Pampore by a train. 

By Road: You can hit the road and take a local bus to Pampore, or hire a taxi.

Adventure Activities In Pampore

Even though there are plenty of adventure activities in Kashmir, sadly there are no adventure activities in Pampore. It’s more about relaxing, strolling, and diving into the culture of Kashmir by indulging shopping and leisurely walks through the saffron fields.

Accommodation In Pampore

Pampore is not as advanced as Srinagar so there are less number of accommodation in Pampore, but if you are travelling to Kashmir, you should prefer staying in Srinagar instead of looking for top hotels in Pampore, if you want easy access to Pampore. 

Vivanta Dal View, Four Points by Sheraton, RK Sarovar Portico are some of the best Resorts near Pampore in Kashmir. Even though there are not top hotels in Pampore, you can still go for the various resorts in Srinagar and then hire a taxi from there.
