The officers who were in charge said that the rain on June 1st and 2nd was 140.7 mm! That’s even more than what it used to be in June in previous years.

One of the users @Bnglrweatherman shared information from the IMD about June 2nd. They said Bengaluru got 111 mm of rain that day, which is more than the usual amount for the whole month of June, which is 110.3 mm. They also mentioned that the most rain ever recorded in a single day in June was on June 16, 1891.

The head of IMD Centre in Bengaluru CS Patil, said that the southwest monsoon has moved more into Karnataka. They also issued a “yellow alert” for certain districts until June 5th.

CS Patil, the head of IMD Centre In Bengaluru also mentioned that places like Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada on the coast of Karnataka, along with Bagalkote, Belgavi, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Koppal, and Vijayapura in the northern part of Karnataka, as well as Ballari, Bengaluru (both rural and urban areas), Chikkaballapura, Davangere, Chitradurga, Hassan, Mysuru, and Tumakuru in the southern part, might experience heavy rainfall in the next two days.

On IMD’s forecast of heavy rains in the next 24 hours, Karnataka Dy CM DK Shivakumar said, as quoted by ANI, “I have instructed that no department related to Bangalore, including BESCOM, KPTCL, BBMP, BDBUS SB, Forest Department, can shirk their responsibility.

Some people have brought restraining orders from the court regarding Rajakaluve. Officials cannot stay away from work. Encroached lands are government properties. If there is a problem in the flow of water, work must be done ruthlessly. I am quite happy that there has been good rain in June.” which was stated by DCM DK Shivakumar.

In Ladakh, find the perfect blend of culture, adventure, and serenity. December last year I decided that my next trip would be Ladakh but didn’t know how to go about it. I knew I wanted to travel in a group, as I had prior experiences of traveling in a group but wanted an organiser I could trust. Ladakh isn’t like other destinations wherein you need some instructions due to the high altitudes.
