1. Mahadev Temple

Mahadev Temple is one of the most Sacred Temples in Jirania located at a distance of 6 km from Jirania city centre. Mahadev Bari, according to the Pithamaala, is the sacred abode of ‘Tripuresh Bhairav,’ with a sacred phallic symbol of Shiva still worshipped inside. 

Built by Maharaja Dhanya Manikya, this sacred places to visit in Jirania faces west and was contemporary with the Tripureswari Temple. It was repaired in 1651 A.D. by Maharaja Kalyan Manikya and later renovated by Radha Kishore Manikya to address decay. 

The complex includes a Naatmandir from around 1900 A.D. and is surrounded by a wall. Two additional temples on the premises lack deities. Notably, rock-cut lion images mark the temple’s entrance, originally from north of Bijoysagar (now Mahadev Dighi).

2. Gopinath Temple

Gopinath Temple is one of the most Sacred Temples in Jirania located at a distance of 37 km from Jirania city centre. This temple is identified as the larger temple within the Mahadev Ban premises and has a southward entrance. 

Built by Maharaja Kalyan Manikya in 1650 A.D., it was dedicated to Gopinath. Local beliefs suggest it was originally the temple of Chaturdosh Devta. The temple features a four-challa design with stupa-like crowns on its outer and core chambers. 

It stands on a paved platform and includes a prominent Aamlak, which once held a gold pitcher. The entrance is adorned with a slanted roof and a bow-shaped vault, decorated with a lotus design, and topped with a flag-staff.

3. Fourteen Gods’ and Goddesses’ Temple

Fourteen Gods’ and Goddesses’ Temple is one of the most famous temples in Jirania located 12 km from Jirania city centre. The Fourteen Gods’ and Goddesses’ Temple in Tripura features a roof resembling a village hut dome and displays fourteen deities in a tribal design, with names in the local Kokborok language. 

The temple includes images of Hindu deities such as Shiva, Durga, Vishnu, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Kartikeya, Ganesha, Brahma, Prithvi, Samudra, Ganga, Agni, Kamadeva, and Himadri.

Each July, the Kharachi Festival attracts thousands of devotees from various communities who come to pray for health, wealth, and prosperity. The temple blends tribal and Hindu traditions and is a notable tourist attraction, enhanced by a beautiful lake nearby.

4. Jagannath Bari

Jagannath Bari is a historical Temples of Jirania located 18 km from Jirania city center. This temple was built in the 19th century by the Maharaja of Tripura from the Manikya Dynasty. Situated within the Ujjayanta Palace grounds, this temple is dedicated to the Hindu deities Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra. 

The temple features an exterior influenced by Islamic architecture, while the interior showcases Hindu artistic elements. It is believed that the Neelmadhav idol at Puri originated from this temple.
