This decision was announced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, following a Cabinet meeting at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

The Prime Minister of the UAE stressed how important it is for the country to protect the environment. He said that the economy and the environment are connected, so they need to take care of both.
