Historic Record Broken By Climbers At Mount Everest!

Believing in ourselves makes us achieve success. One such example that we can give is a British climber and also a Nepali guide who have successfully set new records in climbing Mount Everest, which is known as the highest mountain in the world.

Many people have already held many records before, but now a Nepali guide has broken their records by climbing the mountain even more times. This achievement was announced by officials on Sunday.

Rakesh Gurung, director of Nepal’s Department of Tourism, said Britain’s Kenton Cool, 50, and Nepali guide Kami Rita Sherpa, 54, climbed the 8,849-meter (29,032 foot) peak for the 18th and 29th time, respectively. They were on different trips, each helping their clients.

Do you want to know the records of Kami Rita? Well back in 2014, Madison and Kami Rita teamed up for an incredible adventure on which they conquered not just one, but three of the tallest peaks on the planet!

The three tallest peaks that they were able to tackle include Everest in Nepal, Lhotse in Nepal, and K2 in Pakistan. Now, K2 is the second-highest mountain in the worldwide, while Lhotse proudly holds the title of fourth highest.

Lukas Furtenbach who was known as the mastermind behind Furtenbach Adventures in Austria, couldn’t help but he was impressed by the amazing achievements done by Madison and Kami Rita.

The latest news of Kami Rita’s successful ascent was shared by Seven Summit Treks on their Instagram post, congratulating him on earning the title of “Most Successful Ascent of Mt. Everest by an Individual.”

Kami Rita had begun his expedition from Kathmandu at the end of May, accompanying a mountaineering team of about 28 climbers, serving as their guide.

The travel was not so easy as all the climbers used the Southeast Ridge route to reach the top of Mount Everest. The route to the top of Everest, first conquered by Sir Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay in 1953, is still the most commonly used path today.

Kami Rita started climbing Everest in 1994 and has done it nearly every year since, except for three years when the mountain was closed for different reasons. Kami Rita now holds a record for the highest number of ascents on the world’s tallest peak spanning 71 years.

Last year, one more climber from the place of Solukhumbu, who is known as Pasang Dawa Sherpa successfully reached the summit for the 27th time. But not sure whether he will try again for this season.
