Zuri Dzong is one of the oldest dzongs in Bhutan, with origins tracing back to the 14th century by the revered saint, Longchenpa. Located in the picturesque Paro Valley, Zuri Dzong was originally built in 1352 as a fortress to guard against invasions and has played a pivotal role in the region’s history and also served as a bastion of Buddhism and a center for religious teachings.
