Chopta is the prettiest spot on the Ukhimath-Chamoli road that connects Kedarnath with Badrinath via a clearly more picturesque, somewhat shorter route. This sleepy little place, 35km up from Ukimath, is really just a bend in a very narrow, thickly forested mountain road. It’s the quaintest place you are likely to see en route, along with the famed bugyals (meadows) of the state peeking through towering trees, framed by snowy mountains in the distance. Chopta is the springboard for a 5km trek to Chandrashila Peak and Tungnath – one of the Panch Kedar (sacred Shiva temples) in Garhwal, including Kedarnath, Rudranath, Madmaheshwar and Kalpeshwar.

Itinerary

Day 0

Start from Delhi by 8 PM.

Day 1

Chopta Arrival & Acclimatization

Pit stop at Devprayag – Witness the beautiful Sangam of Bhagirathi & Alaknanda.

Reach Chopta by noon & check in to your stay.

Freshen Up & relax in the lap of nature.

You can opt to go for an acclimatization walk.

Dinner & sleep overnight.

Day 2

Trek to Tungnath & Chandrashila

Wake up early & witness the beautiful sunrise.

Have breakfast , start your trek to Tungnath.

Reach Tungnath & pay your respect at the highest abode of Lord Shiva.

Enjoy your refreshment & start your journey to most astonished Chandrashila peak (if weather permits)

Come back to the stay by evening, dinner & sleep overnight.

Day 3

Deoria Tal Trek | Departure

Wake up to another beautiful morning & have breakfast.

Post Breakfast, head to Sari Village ( Starting point of Deoria Tal trek )

Start your trek to astonishing Deoria Tal.

Reach Deoria Tal & enjoy the stunning view of surrounding mountains.

Trek back to sari village & depart for Delhi.

Reach Delhi next morning.

Day 4

Reach back to Delhi by morning

Reach Delhi by morning with amazing trip memories.

NOTE: Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of participants etc. May cause itinerary change. We reserve the rights to change any schedule in the interest of safety, comfort and general wellbeing.

NOTE: Travellers residing outside Delhi are suggested to book trains/flights reaching Delhi not later than 2 PM on the trip start date. Similarly, on trip end date, book returning flight/trains leaving post 6 PM.

NOTE: The age limit of our group departures is 16 to 42 years due to the power packed itineraries that we provide to our travellers. We can customise trips for travellers beyond the mentioned age bracket.

5 meals will be provided throughout the trip. 2 meals (day 1) + 2 meals (day 2) + 1 meal (day 3)

Accommodation for 2 nights in camps at Chopta.

Refreshment for the trek.

Team captain throughout the trip.

Driver charges, toll tax, parking etc.

Exclusions

GST (5%) is applicable extra.

Any other Food and Beverage charge that is not included in the package.

Any permit or entry tickets to viewpoints.

“WanderOn is not a group but it’s a feeling as the name suggests. I didn’t know that I will be so touched and moved when I will reach the top of Chandrashila peak. It was my birthday and I wanted to go somewhere in the mountains to celebrate the same. Me and 2 friends of mine were looking for options and we decide to go for Chopta. Then we were thinking with whom we should go. We were considering 2-3 travel groups but thankfully, we chose WanderOn. We had so much fun traveling with WanderOn. We met amazing people who all were well behaving and fun loving, we made some new friends with whom we are not just in touch but talking and sharing things on daily basis. Group leaders were so welcoming and friendly that we never felt we are with new people. Nidhi, our leader who is just 20 years old, we call her ‘Chota Baccha’, is not at all a small kid. She was on fire and coordinating and managing stuff like a superwoman. Dushyant is a very mature yet very friendly person with whom I had a good time. Rishabh is a fun guy and Ankush’s photography skills are beyond imaginations. Well managed Safari Tents, amazing quality food, breathtaking location, wonderful people, everything went in harmony which made this trip even more enjoyable. Overall, I had a great time and happy that we chose WanderOn.
