Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival in Dimapur. Drive to Kohima – Start Your Nagaland Adventure

Upon arrival at Dimapur Airport, you will meet our friendly representative.

Board your vehicle for a scenic transfer to Kohima, the capital of Nagaland.

Enjoy a 2.5-hour picturesque drive through Nagaland’s hills, taking in the lush green landscapes and tribal villages along the way.

Upon reaching Kohima, check into your hotel and relax.

In the evening, you can explore one of the most famous local markets of Kohima- Naga Bazaar.

You can also visit Kohima War Cemetery, known for its WWII significance and the touching "Kohima Epitaph" memorial.

After exploring Kohima city, you will come back to the hotel and call it a night.

Day 2
Explore the Hornbill Festival at Kisama – Celebrate Northeastern Culture

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kisama Heritage Village, home to the famous Hornbill Festival.

This festival is an immersive cultural experience, where 17+ Northeastern tribes showcase their lifestyle through folk dances, music, and traditional ceremonies.

You’ll also get a chance to explore the traditional houses, sample various local cuisine, and taste the unique rice beer.

Come back to your comfortable rooms and call it a night.

Day 3
Continue the fun of Hornbill Festival Celebrations

Wake up in your comfortable room and get ready to enjoy the 2nd day of amazing Hornbill festival.

After breakfast, we will leave for the Kisama Heritage Village at the festival site.

Enjoy the traditional tribal dance and musical performances of the Northeastern tribes.

Here you can also buy local handicrafts while learning about the rich history of the Northeastern site.

In the evening, return to your rooms for a restful night.

Day 4
Festival Day – Experiencing the Spirit of Nothreastern Traditions

After breakfast, head to Kisama Heritage Village for another exciting day at the Hornbill Festival.

Witness performances from Northeastern's 17+ tribes, participate in traditional dances, and explore local food stalls.

This is a unique opportunity to engage with the local Northeastern culture, try traditional foods, and interact with the festival participants.

After spending an entire existing day at the Hornbill festival venue, come back to your hotel room.

Day 5
Transfer from Kohima to Dzükou Valley for Trekking and Camping.

Post breakfast, board your transfer that will take you to the starting point of Dzükou Valley Trek.

Dzükou Valley, located on the border of Nagaland and Manipur, is a paradise for trekkers.

We will begin your trek from either the Viswema trail or the Jakhama trail - both offering incredible scenic views as you ascend into the valley.

The trek is approximately 7-8 km long, with a moderate difficulty level and will take you around 4 hours to complete.

As we trek, you will be greeted by lush forests, colourful wildflowers, and panoramic views of the rolling hills that make this valley so special.

The untouched, natural beauty of Dzükou will leave you in awe.

Enjoy a packed lunch along the way, surrounded by nature.

Once we reach the destination, take a moment to relax and absorb the breathtaking views.

You can also click some postcard-perfect photographs of the stunning landscape.

In the evening, reach your campsite, rest for sometime and enjoy your dinner.

Overnight stay at the campsite in Dzükou Valley.

Day 6
Transfer from Dzükou Valley to Kohima - Leisure Day

Wake up to a beautiful morning in Dzükou Valley amidst the stunning views.

Have your breakfast at the campsite and begin your journey back to the base village.

Once back at the base, board your transport and return to Kohima.

On arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

You can visit the local markets, explore the town, relax or reflect on the beauty of the Dzükou Valley trek.

Day 7
Departure from Kohima to Dimapur – End of Your Hornbill Festival Trip

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and board your transfers for a scenic drive to Dimapur.

As you travel through the rolling hills of Nagaland, enjoy the last glimpses of its scenic beauty.

Your amazing Hornbill Festival tour package concludes once you are dropped off at Dimapur Airport for your onward flight.

Take back a lot of unforgettable memories of Nagaland’s incredible landscapes, rich traditions, and warm hospitality.
