8 Days Japan Backpacking Trip | Tokyo to Osaka with Mt. Fuji

First, we will visit Sensō-ji Temple, Tokyo’s oldest Buddhist temple, located in the lively Asakusa district and featuring a 5-storey pagoda.

Then, take a leisurely walk around Asakusa Shopping Street, where you can shop for souvenirs and traditional Japanese snacks.

Then, visit TeamLab Planets Tokyo, a digital museum where you will walk through water, where the artwork changes depending on the presence of people.

Here, you can click photos or just soak in the views of the entire Tokyo city.

Further, we will explore the Tokyo Skytree, a broadcasting and observation tower which is also one of the tallest in the world.

Later in the evening, drop off at the Shibuya Crossing, the world's busiest pedestrian intersection, which is designed in the form of a scramble.

It is said that this crossing usually sees around 3000 people crossing this intersection daily.

Return to your hotel after a full day of exploration.

For those interested in shopping and local exploration, you can head towards Ginza, one of Tokyo’s most upscale shopping and entertainment districts.

Explore luxury boutiques, Japanese department stores, stylish cafés, and local restaurants while experiencing the modern side of Tokyo.

You can also spend time discovering hidden lanes, gaming arcades, anime stores, or local food markets around the city.

After a relaxed and exciting day, return to your hotel on your own.

Complete the check-out formalities and get ready for an exciting journey towards Mt Fuji, followed by your onward transfer to kyoto

After departing Tokyo, proceed towards the beautiful Mt. Fuji region.

Subject to weather conditions, we will visit the famous Mt. Fuji 5th Station, located at an altitude of around 2,300 metres. This viewpoint offers breathtaking panoramic views of Mt. Fuji and the surrounding landscapes.

Later, proceed towards Lake Kawaguchi, one of the famous Fuji Five Lakes. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and spectacular views of Mt. Fuji reflected across the lake.

Spend some time exploring the area, clicking pictures, and enjoying the beautiful natural scenery.

After completing the Mt. Fuji sightseeing, get ready to board your bullet train to Kyoto.

Upon reaching Kyoto, proceed towards your hotel and complete the check-in formalities. Spend some time relaxing after the day's journey.

Next, we will proceed towards the iconic Fushimi Inari Shrine, one of Japan's most important Shinto shrines, famous for its thousands of vibrant red torii gates.

Explore the shrine and its picturesque surroundings while experiencing one of Kyoto's most iconic cultural landmarks.

Later, we will explore the historic Gion district, known for its preserved wooden streets, traditional teahouses, and old-world atmosphere.

You may also get a chance to witness Geishas and Maikos walking gracefully through the streets dressed in elegant traditional attire.
