Looking for a quick mountain escape from Delhi? This Kanatal weekend trip is the perfect break from busy city life. In just two days, you get to explore peaceful forests, stunning Himalayan views, and exciting adventure activities.
Your journey begins with an overnight drive from Delhi to the quiet hill town of Kanatal. Surrounded by pine forests and fresh mountain air, this hidden gem of Uttarakhand is perfect for a relaxing yet adventurous getaway. After reaching the campsite, you can enjoy activities like rock climbing, zip lining, and bridge crossing.
One of the highlights of this trip is the trek to Surkanda Devi Temple, located at a height of around 10,000 ft. The short trek rewards you with breathtaking 360° views of the Himalayan peaks and valleys around.
The adventure continues the next day at Tehri Lake, where you can try exciting water sports like jet skiing, banana boat rides, and motor boating. From camping under a sky full of stars to trekking and lake adventures, this short trip offers the perfect mix of fun and relaxation.

Itinerary

Day 0

Depart from Delhi. Overnight Travel to Kanatal.

Reach your pick-up point in Delhi by 9:00 PM.

We will then board our Tempo/Mini bus to Kanatal.

Overnight bus journey to Kanatal.

Day 1

Kanatal Arrival | Adventure Activities | Trek to Surkanda Devi

Reach Kanatal by morning and head to your campsite/resort.

Check-in to your campsite, freshen up and have breakfast then relax for sometime.

Enjoy some leisure time in the lap of nature and soak in the surroundings.

We will then participate in some adventure activities at the campsite/resort, like zip lining and valley crossing. (Activities depends on the availability and at your own expense)

We will head for a trek to Surkanda Devi temple to enjoy the 360° view of Nanda Devi and the adjoining peaks.

Seek blessing of the goddess and spend some time admiring the views around.

Return to the campsite/resort for some tea/coffee and light snacks around the bonfire.

Have your dinner and spend time at the campsite/resort under a sky full of stars.

Overnight stay at the campsite/resort in Kanatal.

Day 2

Water Activities at Tehri Dam | Departure for Delhi

Wake up to a beautiful morning in the mountains and watch a beautiful sunrise over the Himalayas.

Have your breakfast and check-out of the campsite/resort.

We will then drive towards the Tehri Dam and take a 1-2 hours to enjoy some watersports.

Participate in some thrilling activities like Banana Boat Ride, Jet-Skiing, Surfing, Motor Boat Ride. (at your own expenses)

In the afternoon, we will board our transfers to begin a return journey to Delhi.

Your short Uttarakhand trip concludes once you reach Delhi by next morning.

NOTE: Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of participants etc. May cause itinerary change. We reserve the rights to change any schedule in the interest of safety, comfort and general wellbeing.

NOTE: The age limit of our group departures is 16 to 42 years due to the power packed itineraries that we provide to our travellers. We can customise trips for travellers beyond the mentioned age bracket.

Inclusions

Entire travel as per the itinerary. (From Delhi to Kanatal, it will be in Tempo/Mini Bus)

A total of 4 meals – 3 meals on Day 1 (Breakfast, Evening Snack and Dinner) + 1 meals on Day 2 (Breakfast)

Accommodation at Kanatal in Camps/Resort for 1 nights.

Guided Trek to Surkanda Devi Temple.

Team Captain throughout the trip.

Driver night charges, toll tax, parking charges.

Exclusions

GST (5%) is applicable extra.

Any other Food and Beverage charge that is not included in the package.

Activities at Campsite/Resort.

Water Sports at Tehri Dam.

Any other costing involved due to any kind of natural calamity, forced circumstances which are out of our control.

Anything not mentioned in the inclusions.

Authentic Government ID Card
Comfortable warm clothing like woolen socks, cap, fleece jackets or warmers, down jacket, toiletries.
Sunscreen & lip balm, Good U/V protection sunglasses
Personal Medicines (if any) & few medicines for altitude sickness (a must)
Power Banks (No Electricity at Sarchu, Pangong Tso & Jispa)
Only post-paid numbers will work in Leh City & apart from that most of the area is no network zone
